Known and Accepted by God YOU are known by God. He
knows YOU not just in a general way but in a personal and intimate
manner. You
see: He had YOU on His mind before the foundation of the
world. Knowing
this it must necessarily follow that God was intimately involved in all of
the details regarding YOUR life:
He chose the time of YOUR birth. Let me prove it to you from God's Word. “For He chose us in Him before
the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight”. Ephesians 1:4 “For we are God's workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”. Ephesians 2:10
David describes God's intimate involvement in YOUR creation: “I praise You because I am
fearfully and wonderfully made, Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was
not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the
depths of the earth.”. Psalm 139:14-15 Furthermore YOU are accepted by
God... This
may be hard for some of you to grasp. After all no one else seems to
accept you, least of all other Christians. To them you are unacceptable
because you don’t seem to be able to follow their rules and regulations.
No matter how hard you try you never quite make it. Lately you have had a
real hard time because you dared to tell someone, you thought was a mature
Christian, that you believed God was calling you into a teaching position.
She evidently thought it her Christian duty to report you to the elders.
And now you have been told that you are a rebellious woman since you dare
to go against God’s Word. After all God’s Word makes it very plain that
women are to be silent. One thing has become clear: You
are not accepted by your church, and if you are not accepted by your
church, how could you possibly be accepted by God? The
answer is to be found in Ephesians 1:6 “To the praise of His glorious grace which he has
freely given us in the One He loves”. God accepts YOU in Christ. He
does not accept you because you have followed the rules and regulations,
which men have tried to place upon you. These religious yokes only serve
to trip you up. God
accepts YOU because of His Son’s work on the Cross and His Son invites YOU
to: “Come to Me, all you who are
weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I
am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls”. Matthew 11:28-29 Please accept the Lord’s invitation
and throw off any religious yoke you might be labouring under. Remember too: “What, then, shall we say in response
to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?….…. Who shall separate us from the love of
Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?….
… No, in all these things we are more
than conquerors through Him who loves us. For I am convinced that neither death
nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,
neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from
the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”. Romans 8:31-39 |
