Known and Accepted by God YOU are known by God. He
knows YOU not just in a general way but in a personal and intimate
manner. You
see: He had YOU on His mind before the foundation of the
world. Knowing
this it must necessarily follow that God was intimately involved in all of
the details regarding YOUR life:
He chose the time of YOUR birth. Let me prove it to you from God's Word. “He
hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should
be holy and without blame before Him in love”. Ephesians 1:4 “For we are His
workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath
before ordained that we should walk in them”. Ephesians 2:10
David describes God's intimate involvement in YOUR creation: “ I will praise Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous
are Thy works, and that my soul knoweth right well.My
substance was not hid from Thee when I was made in secret, and curiously
wrought in the lowest part of the earth.”. Psalm 139:14-15 Furthermore YOU are accepted by
God... This
may be hard for some of you to grasp. After all no one else seems to
accept you, least of all other Christians. To them you are unacceptable
because you don’t seem to be able to follow their rules and regulations.
No matter how hard you try you never quite make it. Lately you have had a
real hard time because you dared to tell someone, you thought was a mature
Christian, that you believed God was calling you into a teaching position.
She evidently thought it her Christian duty to report you to the elders.
And now you have been told that you are a rebellious woman since you dare
to go against God’s Word. After all God’s Word makes it very plain that
women are to be silent. One thing has become clear: You
are not accepted by your church, and if you are not accepted by your
church, how could you possibly be accepted by God? The
answer is to be found in Ephesians 1:6 “He made us accepted in the
Beloved”. God accepts YOU in Christ. He
does not accept you because you have followed the rules and regulations,
which men have tried to place upon you. These religious yokes only serve
to trip you up. God
accepts YOU because of His Son’s work on the Cross and His Son invites YOU
to: “Come
unto Me all ye that are labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you
rest.Take My Yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and
ye shall find rest unto your souls”. Matthew 11:28-29 Please accept the Lord’s invitation
and throw off any religious yoke you might be labouring under. Remember too: “What
shall we say then to these things ? If God be for us, who can be against
us?…. Who
shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress,
or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or
sword?… Nay,
in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loves
us. For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor
angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to
come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to
separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”. Romans 8:31-39 |
