My Personal Story My name is Loes Tam and I live in the UK. I grew up in the Netherlands, where my family attended a very traditional Reformed Church. I then spent a year in the UK before moving to Hong Kong. I got married to my husband Larry and we have three beautiful daughters. In Hong Kong I began to attend
a Baptist Church and I eventually became involved in various women’s ministries. Some years ago I moved back to
the UK. This has given me a chance to have a closer look at the churches over here. One of the
things I have become aware of is the very strict view certain churches have regarding the role
of women. This has caused me to become very concerned for women in these churches since I
believe that many of these same women may well sense a call of God on their lives to teach or
lead but have been told that they are wrong for God would never call a woman into these
positions. It is my desire to help women
understand from Scripture God’s perspective on these matters.
